LONDON (AFP) – Christians have long celebrated Jesus Christ's Last Supper on Maundy Thursday but new research released Monday claims to show it took place on the Wednesday before the crucifixion.
Professor Colin Humphreys, a scientist at the University of Cambridge, believes it is all due to a calendar mix-up -- and asserts his findings strengthen the case for finally introducing a fixed date for Easter.
Humphreys uses a combination of biblical, historical and astronomical research to try to pinpoint the precise nature and timing of Jesus's final meal with his disciples before his death.
Researchers have long been puzzled by an apparent inconsistency in the Bible.
While Matthew, Mark and Luke all say the Last Supper coincided with the start of the Jewish festival of Passover, John claims it took place before Passover.
Humphreys has concluded in a new book, "The Mystery Of The Last Supper", that Jesus -- along with Matthew, Mark and Luke -- may have been using a different calendar to John.
"Whatever you think about the Bible, the fact is that Jewish people would never mistake the Passover meal for another meal, so for the Gospels to contradict themselves in this regard is really hard to understand," Humphreys said.
"Many biblical scholars say that, for this reason, you can't trust the Gospels at all. But if we use science and the Gospels hand in hand, we can actually prove that there was no contradiction."
In Humphreys' theory, Jesus went by an old-fashioned Jewish calendar rather than the official lunar calendar which was in widespread use at the time of his death and is still in use today.
This would put the Passover meal -- and the Last Supper -- on the Wednesday, explaining how such a large number of events took place between the meal and the crucifixion.
It would follow that Jesus' arrest, interrogation and separate trials did not all take place in the space of one night but in fact occurred over a longer period.
Humphreys believes a date could therefore be ascribed to Easter in our modern solar calendar, and working on the basis that the crucifixion took place on April 3, Easter Day would be on April 5.

    Great stuff. I myself have worked as a CPS (child protective services-DSS, in my state)investigator for several years, focusing on nothing but physical/ sexual abuse. The force of creativity, and love itself. Humanity is being used a psychological projection of the failed artist we call evil, which is a virus in the system, or the unified field.     This book does a great and thorough job of explaining the Illuminati and the people behind the organization of the NWO. It doesn’t however really go into depth of how to really help the ones that have been subjected to this abuse unless you are a in the mental health field. It also doesn’T answer the fundamental question of how to not be mind controlled even if you weren’t kidnapped, sold into slavery, or born into the Illuminati family. It is hard to stomach at times, that there people that will do satan’s bidding and torture human beings and animals. Read the book.

    A couple years ago I read this book along with a few other books by Fritz Springmeier. His books are interesting, however as a sceptic I must question
    his fundamentalist religious viewpoint as being biased. He accuses these “illuminists” of “mindcontrol” and the “programming” of their victims and “agents,” but as a religious fundamentalist himself, he is obviously a victim of religious programming and closed minded beliefs. What proof does he offer of the reality of these horrendous tortures and procedures he claims are being perpetrated?
    These books have shock value and gross-out going for them, but are they true? That remains to be seen.

    I plan on reading this book, but I just wanted to follow-up on the comment of “k.g.kruger” above: “…but as a religious fundamentalist himself, he is obviously a victim of religious programming and closed minded beliefs.”
    Stuff like this are what make me roll my eyes at so-called “free-thinkers.” Please make a distinction between sincere religious believers, who have consciously assented to the ideas and tenets of their belief system, and those who have been violently submitted to mind-control techniques.     Well, this book is a mess, and desperately needed an editor. That said, it was really interesting – if you believe in MKUltra et al, it’s a great source of knowledge; if you don’t, it’s scarier and more fascinating than any horror book you’re likely to pick up this year.
    The good: The introductory chapters, the sections about using books and TV shows, hypnosis, shattering and resconstructing multiple personalities, and all the spiritual/demonology stuff is well researched and written, and a lot of it seems extremely plausable. Too bad they mentioned that programmers used all my favorite childhood books! So take the following criticism as you might from an unconscious “front alter”:
    The bad: The section on Billy Graham was just silly. It was like ten boring pages of apologizing for sullying the memory of a “great” man (he was a televangelist, c’mon, only the devout think those guys are perfect), and a few paras about how he was obviously Satanic because he worked with gay men and Catholics, and possibly thought about sleeping with prostitutes. By those standards… erm…
    The ugly: The section on numerical codes and verbal commands was disjointed, poorly written, unedited, and bizarre. If MKUltra programming is real, these chapters seemed designed to set some poor unknowing slave off. The intro says not to read the book if you think you’re a slave, but…erm… who do they think would be looking for this type of info? C’mon. There are also deliberate errors placed throughout the book, for instance, that cocaine comes from poppies. Huh? The chapters about electronics and body manipulation also needed a ruthless editor and fact checker.
    In summary: Great book, a real page turner, but seemed to be a mix of fact, fiction, and deliberate errors (slides), which is exactly what they accuse the Illuminati of spreading. Plus, there is no chapter about how an MKUltra slave could go about healing, other than going to a therapist – but it says all the therapists are either ignorant or in on the scheme. Catch 22. I’m still not sure I believe in this stuff, it was the Britney Spears interview video (where she “changes alters” on camera) that made me want to learn more. And I sure as heck did. Recommended.

    This is almost as disturbing as the book Trance Formation of America by Cathy O’Brien –a former MK Ultra slave who was rescued by a former government operative. It is hard to believe that these dark deeds are carried out so secretively.     I have started the book and read the contents. I want to share with others that they should also check out my book free on my website on the mental health system, which is all about mind control. Every survivor of a psych hospital and psych meds is a victim of mind control. God sent me into the mental health system as a patient to be a witness against it. He prophesied over me, 2 years before this happened, “I’m gonna use you to write a manual”. Then 2 years later, a court clinician sent me to a hospital after I told him I believed in the bible. He said to me, “if you believe in the bible, you’re mentally ill” THis was God’s way of getting me, a Christian, in there to testify against it and write the book. The first time I set foot in the hospital, the Holy Spirit said to me “the covering over this place is sorcery”. He was referring to the use of drugs and mind control techniques (what they refer to as education groups, where they constantly program the patients to think of themselves as sick and in permanent need of drugs). Deut 18, the old testament, says that sorcery is an abomination to God. The root of the word pharmacy is pharmakaeia, which translates as drugs, sorcery. It is the same as voodoo. THe purpose of my book is to expose the atheistic worldview of psychiatry. It is really run by masons, who at the top levels are satanists. Psychiatry is atheism masquerading as science. It is really, in truth, a device used by the devil to attack christians. It is really, covertly, satanism masquerading as atheism masquerading as science.     To continue my comment (which got interrupted): Jim Keith’s book Mass Control says that CIA mind control experiment MKULTRA director dr. Robert hanna felix was director of psychiatric research for the scottish rite of freemasons, and director of the national institute of mental health. So there has always been historical connections between masonry and occult groups and psychiatry. The first time i was at the hospital, God was giving me a sign about this with a truck that kept coming by that said “WB MASON” I sensed, in my spirit, this was a message about masonry having something to do wsith all this, and when I got out and researched it, that is exactly what I found out. The drugs put people in a very suggestible hypnotic state and, I believe make them more suggestible than they would normally be. THe only antidote I know for this is to constantly pray the blood of jEsus over oneself, and rebuke the curses that are constantly being spoken over oneself. Most normal conversations have curses in them, which is to say, people discuss negative situations that can be used to set up spiritual assignments on the listener, and act like a curse. The antidote is prayer, cleansing prayer. like “wash me, Jesus, I rebuke all curses in Jesus’ name, I pray the blood of Jesus over myself. Read ch 11 in my book on Words, it will make you seriously consider what comes out of your mouth and ask God to control your mouth so the devil doesn’t use you to curse people. Jesus said “I am the way, the truth and the life, and noone comes to the father but by me.” SO those 2 statements show that the truith which sets us free is the truth of who jesus is, and what we can do for ourselves and others in His name. THe title for myu book came to me ina dream. The other book that sets us free is the bible, preferably the King James version. We also need a relationship woith the Holy spirit, because He is our teacher and continues to guide us to information that is not already in the bible. Jesus said this would be so. He said that the Holy SPIrit would continue to teach us. That is why we need relationship with God, not just knowledge of the bible. It is about relationship, not just belief.     I read the whole book. I had downloaded it to save, and after reading it, decided to delete it. Here’s why; he lists names of demons. This is dangerous to keep around you, since it is an opening for those demons to attack you if you keep their names. I hAVe seen other christian books make the same mistake. Rebecca Brown, who does deliverance ministry, and wrote He came to set the captives free, makes this mistake in her books; she lists demons that she has encountered. I had the books in my car, and my car stopped working. my pastor said to me, “may be the devil is in your car.” then I prayed, and the holy spirit said to me, “hezekiah”. I looked up Hezekiah, and that king was told by God to houseclean, get rid of idols. he did. I got the books out of my car, and the car worked fine again. I ran into someone who owned a christian book store, and he told me that when his daughter was reading Brown’s books, she got attacked sick from it. so keeping co0p8ies of writing that has names of demons is dangerous and can open one to attack. Likewise, I have experienced the phenomena of having someone rebuke a demon that wasnt actually there, and in so doing, they invoked it. Smith wigglesworth, the great evangelist, who had a ministry of healing and raising the dead, said that if you rebuke the devil more than once, he laughs at you. (it shows lack of faith, which means your prayers dont get answered). My experience is that if you rebuke something once, fine. If you do it twice, you re-invoke it. Then you have to rebuke it a third time. If you keep rebuking it, it comes back. I once was at a prayer meeting where the other person there thought I had something. I could hear her rebuking the devil, over and over. the more she did this, the more oppressed I got. she was invoking demons onto me. this is a common mistake in christianity, i think. when we pray, we need to pray with faith, and stay in that position, not doubt or waver. the book of James says those who doubt or waver in their faith receive nothing. for more on words, you can read my book for free at 1prophetspeaks.com read the chap. on words. the book is called Manual for Transformational Healing-God’s answer to psychiatry.     I also intend to read this book, sometime, but I’d like to make an observation to a statement in k.g. Kruger’s comment: “…but as a religious fundamentalist himself, he is obviously a victim of religious programming and closed minded beliefs.”. K.G., if what you are alluding to is the fact that there are many forms of beliefs which, in reality, are nothing but a subtle, subliminal way of “programming” people on what to believe in, without allowing them the God-given gift to exercise “free will” in regards to choosing for themselves what to believe in, based on the results of the works of their religion and the sort of impact it has in their personal lives, as well as in society in general, then I see your point. However, I shall remind you that “faith…”, according to the book of Hebrews, chapter 11, verse 1, “…is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.”. Just a couple of verses down, on that same book of the bible, namely on verse 3, Paul, by divine inspiration- which by the way is the method in which all books that make up the bible were written, states…”By faith we perceive that the systems of things were put in order by God’s word, so that what is beheld has come to be out of things that do not appear.”, further reinforcing the meaning of what faith really is! In other words, what I am trying to say is that there is a huge difference between one having faith in God, freely, and being forcefully or deceitfully programmed to believe in something or displaying different personalities in accordance to the environment in which one finds oneself in. One cannot be a “victim” of true religion, for it requires true faith from one’s heart (the inner person) to find it! True faith is not credulity, that is, a readiness to believe something without sound evidence or just because a person wants it to be so. Genuine faith requires basic or fundamental knowledge, acquaintance with evidence, as well as heartfelt appreciation of what that evidence indicates. Thus, although it is impossible to have real faith without accurate knowledge, the Bible says that it is “with the heart” that one exercises faith. – Rom. 10:10. Believing in God willfuly is different than being “programmed” or “brainwashed”- am not saying that such is the case with the author of this book though.

The soldier equipts himself with knowledge to fight.Maybe you need to read her books again and study the relevant scriptures.Do you really think the demons are going to run at a single command?You have lost the battle already through ignorance.     As disturbing as the material that is covered, I found it to be informative, until I noticed the numerous misspellings, and gramatical errors, and common facts completely wrong. Such as in the list of drugs used in mind control the authors lists heroin and cocaine. They claim that both of these drugs are derived from the poppy plant. Which I assume to be common knowledge that cocaine comes from coca leaves. Such a blunder makes me question the accuracy of the rest of the information contained in this book. I realize no one is perfect and I greatly admire the courage of the authors, but I just wish there had been more proof reading before publishing.

    Much of the text is not properly cited. It also states that Willie Nelson and Kris Kristopherson are in on it “COUNTRY MUSIC INDUSTRY PERPETRATORS involved and
    knowledgeable of Monarch Mind Control” Really… Do you have some sources you can site.
    By all means the topics in this book are fascinating. But how can I trust any of it if the sources are not cited. If you can not provide sources… then I will enjoy this as a work of fiction.

    This book is so far routed in spirituality that none of it’s facts can be taken seriously. Please, if you are open-minded, take it from me.     Many lyrics use trigger words, to mass control the listeners. The music puts people in a trance and then the words act like hypnotic commands. All the discussion years ago about musicians using backmasking on rock records (messages recorded backswards) wasn’t made up. The subconsious mind can understand a command even when said backwards, even while the conscious mind doesn’t understand it. Drugs are all openings for demonic spirits, so music recorded while on drugs transmits something demonic to the listeners. The wbole marketing of rock, heavy metal and rap is mass hypnosis of the population to put demons on them and control them.     i’d like to understand what exactly do you mean by that.
    i understand that a person can be ‘programmed’ to respond or do something when hearing a certain word. but how do you suggest people are being programmed on the first place?
    cause if there’re not – non of those words would actually affect them, right?
    btw, i’m atheist, so i dont really take religious explanations well

You asked :”how can a person be mind-controlled while listening to music. ” I already explained this; but let me emphasize, both DRUGS and MUSIC can put someonein a hypnotic trance, which makes them suggestible. Then whatever words are spoken, can act like commands. So ifyou heard a lyric that said “go kill your cat” it would act that way. the spirits around the music, which inspire it, are transmitted by listeing to it as well. Very often you can discern what spirit is there by listening to what the lyrics are. If they are negative, that tells you. someone singing about somethng bad that happened to them can transmt that as a curse (unintentonally) to the listener who then has it “around them:” and which can defile them and others around them to re-create the same problem. If I listen to something negative, I pray the blood of Jesus to wash me after, to remove any curses. I nkow about this because I often feel physical bodily attacks when something b ad is said, as a sign that something spiritual is going on.
